I'm a Mac.

MBP

I got my MacBook Pro!
It's the most perfect gadget I've laid my hands on.

Now I understand, using a Mac as a tool in your work is a natural choice - whether you are a designer, an architect, an artist or even a writer. Mainly because everything just works.

It's a disco, it's a party, it's International Dance Party!

IDP

This is by far the most amazing thing I've seen in the last few months. The IDP is a complete plug 'n' play party in a box, as stated in the official web page; it can lead a party indefinitely, playing tunes on loop, based on its' audience behavior.
The IDP contains a computer running Max/MSP that controls every bit of technology inside the flightcase: music, lights, sensors, LED panel, smoke machine, etc.

It's not only a great concept, it also works perfectly and it was developed by a bunch of funny people.
Don't believe me? Check the video below.

Make sure you also read the manual, so you can have a better ideia of what's behind the shell.

I missed blogging but I'd prefer I wouldn't have to talk about this stuff...

Yet another complete rip-off of my design @ ryanjpowell.com (the guy doesn't even deserve a linkback)

rip-off

Thanks to Steve Leggat for letting me know (Steve was also ripped-off on the about section)

@15:10 - it seems he got the email and took the site down for good

Today I was reading some news and came across with the new Google Talk service: chatback.

"Do you have a blog, online profile, or some other personal web page? Would you like to communicate more with your visitors? Today we're launching a new Google Talk feature that lets visitors to your web site chat with you. We call it "chatback" because instead of you doing all the talking on your blog, your visitors can talk back to you. Sure, they could leave comments, but those are public and hard to use for a real conversation. With chatback, it's a real instant message session."

I thought it was a really good idea and started implementing it on this site right away, so that my future clients could reach me quicker on a first approach.
The problem is that there's no control over who uses it, since the code is universal (it's really just an iframe). Everyone can copy/paste your code and use it on whichever site they like. Worst case scenario: spamming bots all over the place.

Google could implement an API system, like they did with Google Maps, and something a bit safer than an iframe.

A good alternative is the flash-driven widget meebo me, completely customizable and way safer.

A couple of days ago, when I was wandering through the interwebs and reading some blogs here and there, I thought to myself: "I wanna start a blog! Hey, I have a blog!".

I do have this blog, but it's constantly being neglected, forgotten or my writting skills just don't make the cut.
It's time for a change: expect both design and development technical articles and ordinary ramblings, whether it's about the latest gadget or a simple image that struck my mind.
This is what blogging shout be about: to share your experiences and visions of the world, that's what enriches the whole internet world.

I've also updated my Portfolio with a couple of works.

Also, as a bonus, I'll leave you with a great video - this is how I live my life:
